My gripe is that sometimes I feel that no matter how accurate I am with my shooting, the game has already decided that the enemy vehicle will reach its destination, and thus a firefight will ensue at set location. In fact the most recent mission I undertook involved a boat chase, in which I knew the scripted events before they would even happen (speeding down an ever-decreasing channel as two boats drifted towards each other ala Bond, etc).

The pre-determined nature of many (if not all) of the story based chases are fairly obvious to anyone that has to repeat one. I used to hate in the other games that you HAD to stop the vehicle by shooting it up or crashing it over. I did also notice that about 90% of the chases end eventually with the car you're chasing stopping or crashing at some point, which is also great. I like it as it adds some action to the chases.

It's like the game Stuntman, things happen the same way. Yet after the second attempt at the mission I passed because I knew that damn flatbed truck was going to flip over for no god damn reason. When im chasing a car I dont want cars swerving all over the place for no reason. The (tree) loggs in the back of the truck spilled infront of me killing me and Bernie on impact. I was chasing a car and a flatbed truck was driving along and flipped for NO reason. But once you are doing a car chase they appear all over the place in an attempt to kill the player or get in the way. You NEVER see buses driving down the street. This ONLY happens durring car chases.īuses. Pedestrians driving would randomly flip/roll thier cars down the street. What do I mean by this you ask? Well, my last car chase (chasing the blackmailers) I seen some intereasting sh*t. I have come to the conclusion that ALL car chases in IV are rigged.
